Hi, my name is Daniela. I was born and raised in Costa Rica. Moved to the United States when I was 15 years old. I started my career as Case Manager for Domestic Violence and gang prevention In Oklahoma City. Then, I got my masters degree in Guidance Counselor and then I returned to school to become a mental health counselor.
As a compassionate therapist, I focus on supporting individuals and couples facing a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and other forms of psychological distress. I firmly believe that being honest about your feelings is crucial; facing and experiencing the pain of your circumstances is key to personal growth. And while it might seem a bit cheesy, I truly believe that “pain is not vain”—sometimes, it comes with valuable lessons!
A vital part of my practice involves helping those navigating life's transitions and crises, especially when heartache is involved. Having experienced the ups and downs of life myself, I understand how life's challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed. My goal is to help you feel understood and supported as we work together through your unique struggles, yearnings, and ambitions. I prioritize creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where you can feel safe and free of judgment. A touch of humor often finds its way into our sessions; after all, laughter can be a wonderful way to lighten the load.
I enjoy sharing relatable experiences that remind us we’re all navigating this messy tapestry called life together. Ultimately, I want you to leave each session feeling uplifted and empowered, confident that you have choices in every situation. Embracing your honest feelings, even the uncomfortable ones, can reignite your sense of vitality. So, whether you need a space to vent, reflect, or even share a good laugh, I encourage you to reach out—remember, you don’t have to walk this path alone.
